Do You Ever Have a Sore Back or a Stiff Neck?
If you’re anything like me, the answer is “yes, I’m in my 30’s these things just seem to happen”. I’ve been dealing with a recurring sore lower back since I was in my 20’s, no one EVER seemed to be able to help. There wasn’t always a trigger for the pain either. When the pain first started, I went to an orthopedic surgeon, only to be told there was nothing wrong. So I just kind of dealt with the pain as it happened (which was fairly rare, but very intense when it did).
I remember once, when I was about 33 or 34, I played a game of kickball, hurt my leg (and my back and neck followed suit). A few mornings later, I got out of bed and collapsed on the floor. Why? I have no freaking clue, my back was just like “nope, you’re not standing today”. It was a little scary, but I managed to crawl my way to my phone and call a friend to come over with some Ibuprofen and icy hot. The pain subsided in a few days.
What Caused My Really Sore Back & Stiff Neck Today?
If you’ve been reading my blogs, you’ll know that I’ve been visiting Ideal Lifestyle Advocates lately as an experiment. I wanted to see if there was a Chiropractor in Raleigh who would be able to help me. Today, I had the chance to really put them to the test. You see, over the weekend, my mind decided that I was in my 20’s again and I decided to visit a trampoline park here in RTP.
This wasn’t the best idea, but only because I’m actually 37. Immediately after the trampoline park, I felt a pain in my back, it was dull and easy to deal with. However, two days later, I laid down for a short nap and when I woke up, I could barely move my neck.

Visiting The Chiropractors At Ideal Lifestyle Advocates in Raleigh
Rather than let the pain persist, I decided I’d put Dr. Mark & his team at Ideal Lifestyle Advocates to the test. I could barely move my neck and walking was pretty painful. On a scale of 1-10 my back pain was at a 4 and my neck pain was at about a 7. I had the feeling in my neck like it needed to pop, but I couldn’t pop it. That feeling really sucks, if you haven’t experienced it, trust me on this.
So I called Dr. Mark and they were able to get me an appointment (same day, this is probably not the norm). He asked what was wrong, poked a little fun at me for being 37 and going to a trampoline park, and then got to work. In less than 30 minutes, he cracked my neck & my back and a few other places on my body. By the time I stood up, the pain was 90% gone. There was a little pain still left in the neck, he told me to take some ibuprofen to help with the rest.
In the last 15 years, no one had been able to make these pains go away as quickly as Dr. Mark did. While it’s only been an hour, at least I can move now.
